CoachingIn this sectionCoaching uses day-to-day work as a learning opportunity and is a process in which someone helps a colleague to solve a problem or do a task better than would otherwise have been the case, by helping them to learn rather than teaching them. Coaching offers the client the opportunity to reflect on what has been taken-for-granted, reconsider their view of life and, if desired, transform their world. Our ApproachWe believe that coaching is a process that enables learning and development and thus improved performance, using a variety of styles, skills, and techniques depending on the context in which the coaching is taking place. We recommend that effective coaching requires that the coach has a knowledge and understanding of the process, as well as the requisite skills, and we offer training courses for manager coaches.
